Wolf Cub slot goes global! This was an exclusive video slot available only at Betsson casinos. From the 7th of September onwards, it becomes available to all NetEnt online casinos. In all honesty, we didn’t find the game as enticing as some of their recent games. Initially, Wolf Cub slot hit the Betsson casinos in February 2017. Does it look like a 2017 slot?

We must admit, the Free Spins feature is a real tease. It will take you a lot of spins before you trigger it. At least, that’s how we experienced the Wolf Cub slot. Hopefully you will be more fortunate!

Data

This is a standard 20 payline, featuring a traditional 5x3 symbol grid. Moreover, the interface is entirely based on NetEnt’s default design. Players can place between 1 and 10 coins, each valued in the range of 0.01 and 1. If we multiply and add, do a bit of math, the minimum bet is 0.20, which allows you get familiar with the audio and the video qualities of the game, maybe win a decent prize, and the maximum is 200! We recommend a bet of at least 0.60.

All things considered, the theoretical RTP of 96.34% looks promising, but with such a low hit rate, it’ll take hours before it kicks in, eventually turning your play into profits.

Features

The animations are smooth and the sound is up to par with our criteria. It sounds and looks decent. Nevertheless, the gameplay is underwhelming. This has nothing to do with our poor results playing Wolf Cub slot. There’s a Wild Symbol which you pretty much can’t miss. It’s flashing Wild! There’s also a scatter symbol, which triggers part of the Free Spins bonus feature, more about that in the Special Features part of this review.

As we said earlier, it’s a tease. Why might one ask. In spite of the numerous two scatter symbols appearing on reel 1 and 2, we never triggered the Free Spins! It was just teasing us! The one time we managed to do it, it was with a combination of Scatters on reels 3, 4 and 5. It came out of nowhere.

Special Features

Wild Symbols work like any other Wilds, they substitute for other symbols to form a winning line. As usual, they can’t take the place of Scatter symbols.

The interesting part of the Wolf Cub slot is how the number of awarded Free Spins is determined. Whenever you land 3 or more Scatter symbols anywhere on the reels, the reels are covered with symbols showing random numbers. The number of Free Spins that will be awarded to you equals the sum of all numbers visible on the reels. This is the only distinctive element of Wold Cub slot. Other than this, it’s a simple 20 payline slot with above average TRTP.

Conclusion

We expected more. It seems like there was a pretty good reason why it didn’t catch our attention in February. The last release, Emoji Planet will surely be among the popular and featured slot games longer than expected. However, we have to give it to NetEnt, the wolf cub looks cute after all. Sometimes being cute just doesn’t work as anticipated.
