At first we thought this was some latest generation Betsoft Gaming 3D slot, but it turned out we were so wrong. Olympus by Slotland Entertainment takes you in the company of the Greek gods, primarily Zeus. Some loyal fans of WMS would argue that this is a Zeus ripoff, and we can’t totally disagree with them. In our opinion, all video slots that have their theme based on mythology look the same. This just might be us, but we’re not here to judge the players, we’re here to judge the game. Here’s our Olympus Slot review, a game by Slotland Entertainment.
Slot Information

Olympus Slot App, Bet Sizes & General Data
For starters, the 5 spinning reels are clearly divided, which makes it easier for the player to predict when there’s a winning combination. It’s a tiny detail which is very important to us. A 5 reel video slot with a total of 40 paylines. This is above the market average of 20 to 25. More chances to win comes at a price. The minimum or entry bet is 80 credits. That being said, Olympus offers predetermined bet sizes. They’re as follows: 80, 120, 240, 480 and the max bet is 800 coins. The coin value comes preset as well. Once we do the math, the coin of $0.01 and the max bet of 800 sets the max bet at $8 per spin, and the entry bet of 80 at just under a $1 at $0.80. Whether you play the game on desktop or mobile, it doesn’t really make a difference. Slotland has paid a great deal of attention to the user interface.
Note: this is a slot game with a progressive jackpot. You need to land 5 Golden Anvils to win the continuously growing Jackpot Prize!
Olympus Slot Features
Slotland Entertainment made sure that every element of importance looks that way, important. The Wild Symbol, the Scatter and the Bonus symbol are designed to stand out from the other symbols, not that the common symbols are plain looking. Sure, there are the card like symbols, but even they have a design that’s in line with the general mythology theme. Olympus comes of as a rewarding slot game, and you can probably breakeven and even make a profit, but only if you start playing with a decent cash balance. Why? Because it might take you some time before the big wins kick in.
This is a one way paying slot, which means you should have your eyes on the first three reels for the most part. The big 5x4 symbol grid can be overwhelming for new video slot players, especially because there are 3 special symbols, each of which brings a distinctive feature on the reels. More about that in the following section of our Olympus Slot review.
Olympus Slot Machine Free Spins, Bonus Wins and Wilds
Contrary to what many of you will prematurely conclude, the symbol listed as Bonus is actually the scatter, whereas the Mystery symbol takes the role of a Bonus symbol. Just to be you understand the special features in full, here are details on each of them.
- Zeus (listed as Bonus Symbol) - Pretty straight forward, 3 of these anywhere on the reels triggers Free Spins. Now, don’t rely heavily on them. In our experience, Free Spins were extremely rare. However, maybe we were just unlucky. 3 scatters bring 1, 3 or 5 Free Spins. Landing 4 scatters on the reels means you’re getting 3, 5 or 7 Free Spins, whereas if you manage to land 5 of them you can get 5, 7 or 15 Free Spins. The volatility is too great! However, the feature comes with a multiplier.
- Mystery Symbol - Slotland definitely didn’t invest too much in the bonus features. Landing 3 or more of these in a line brings you a cash prize. To be honest, we get disappointed when we come across cash prize bonus features. Sure, every player puts the RTP at the top of the priority list, but while you’re rewarding the player, you might as well design some kind of a special bonus game.
- Medusa (listed as Wild Symbol) - Why is she even part of the paytable? Why is she even present in Olympus? Instead of Medusa, we’d prefer Hera. Nonetheless, Medusa is the Wild Symbol, and it is activated by the Lightning Bonus.
For what it’s worth, none of the aforementioned symbols can match what 5 Golden Anvils can do, win you the progressively growing jackpot!
