Jurassic World, the final installment in the movie franchise was released in 2015, got its very own slot release. It’s another movie themed slot in line in Microgaming’s portfolio. The last depiction of the modern dinosaur world was released back in July of 2014. 3 years later, we get a better, smoother and more distinctive bonus games. We do like Jurassic World better than its predecessor. Hopefully, you will too.
Prepare to meet the Indominus Rex which can reward you with up to 1000x the bet amount you place!
This is a 243 ways slot, and no two sessions we had were the same. It’s highly volatile! Players can enjoy the prehistoric world of dinosaurs with an entry bet of 0.30 or you go for the max prizes with a maximum bet of 7.20. You can check the wins in the paytable, they will change as you change the bet amount. The base game proved to be modest. The only time when we saw some winning action was during Free Spins and whenever we triggered any of the bonus features. Jurassic World slot has RTP of 96.3%. Moderate bets are the way to go.
The leading stars are featured in the game, and as you might have expected, they’re the high paying symbols. However, not to the extent of the Scatters and the Wild Symbols. Microgaming integrated exciting video segments from the movie, that appear when you win big. The logo of Jurassic World is the Wild symbol. However, when 2 Scatter symbols land on the reels, they take the role of the Wild Symbol. We haven’t come across mechanics of this kind so far. Note, 2 Scatters turn Wild only, not 1, not 3, but 2.
Players can trigger 3 bonus games, all of which come with 10 free spins. The Indominus Rex bonus features triggers randomly in the base game. It cannot get triggered during Free Rounds. If the Indominus Rex appeared during Free Games, the Jurassic Wold slot would’ve been broken.
All 3 games start with 10 Free Spins, but you can win more Free Rounds as more Scatters appear on the reels.
- Gyrosphere Valley – the Gyrosphere Valley bonus feature guarantees you will win. After every non-winning spin, the multiplier count increases. When you win, the multiplier is restarted. The Gyrosphere Valley can end only on a winning spin, meaning you will get indefinite Free Rounds, until you win, with the multiplier on top.
- Creation Lab – The Creation Lab introduces Cryo Wilds and Rolling Reels. All symbols that are part of a winning line are removed, making room for new symbols to appear. Consecutive Wins are a thing, and there’s no limit to how many times you can win because of the Rolling Reels feature.
However, we find the Cryo Wilds more important. Any Wild Symbol that appears on the reels, during the Creation Lab feature, is locked in place for the duration of 3 Wins. That’s not Free Spins, that’s 3 Wins.
- Raptor Den – In our experience, the Raptor Den bonus game was the most exciting one, mainly because we got more than 20 Free Rounds. The beauty of this bonus game is that all Scatters are turned wilds. These scatters get hold in place until additional free spins are won. This means that in practice, you get 15 Free Spins from the get go.
When you win because of Scatters, you get both the scatter and the wild win.
Lastly, if you take a look at the area above the reels, you will notice a bar, showing icons which resemble popular dinosaurs. When a player wins all possible combinations in the base game, the bar is filled out. From this moment on, the player can choose what bonus game to play. Upon landing 3 scatter symbols on the reels, the player is offered all three bonus features. Even once you log out, the system keeps track of your success.
Jurassic Park and Jurassic World fans will definitely enjoy the game. Seeing all those dinosaurs from the movie on the reels, and winning because of them! New bonus features are introduced, which must be duly noted. They are what makes Jurassic World an attractive, appealing video slot. Many slot players will look the other way just because it’s a 243 ways slot.
